JAMMU, Aug 21: All Jammu and Kashmir Electric Department Linemen and Workers Union (EDL&WU) held a meeting with Executive Engineer, EMRE Division Banihal, Habib Chowdhary.
During the meeting, the participants demanded compensation for the family of need basis employee Mushtaq Ahmed, who died due to electric shock while performing his official duties. They also demanded job for one member of the deceased’s family.
Executive Engineer gave patient hearing to the demands and assured to provide compensation to the family members of the deceased’s family and job in the department.
Among others present were Vijay Gupta, Girdhari Lal, Anil Singh Slathia, Ashiq Hussain and Kartar Nath.
