BJP committed to fulfill poll promises: Jugal

JAMMU, Aug 23: BJP State President & MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, along with State vice-president Ramesh Arora (MLC) and Senior leader & Ex-MLA Ashwani Sharma, addressed a massive public rally at Bishnah town today, wherein he announced Rs 15 lakh for various developmental activities.
Mr Sharma, while addressing the rally said that the BJP had contested the Assembly elections in the State on three main promises which included good governance, development and ending corruption. Since first day after Government formation, our Ministers and MLAs are working round the clock to fulfill these promises, he added.
He said on one hand there has not been a single case of corruption, on the other a number of welfare schemes have been launched and the pace of developmental activities has been accelerated. The party believes in equal development of all the areas and hence the constituencies which do not have BJP elected representatives are paid more attention for development.
Announcing Rs five lakh from his MP Fund and Rs 10 lakh on behalf of Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh, Jugal said that Rs 15 lakh will be spent for developmental works and providing basic amenities to the people of Bishnah. He said that Narendra Modi led Government at the Centre has also undertaken various developmental projects and launched welfare schemes for the poor, needy and weaker sections and the same must be availed by the people.
Ramesh Arora said that it is indeed a good thing that the constituency is getting special attention and expressed hope that Bishnah Constituency will take lead in the matters related to development and welfare of the people.
Ashwani Sharma said that he has served the constituency twice as MLA adding that “although I am not MLA now but still my whole concentration and attention has been on development and welfare of the people and I will continue to serve the people”.
Mandal Presidents Bishan Choudhary and Rajeev Gupta also addressed the public rally.
Meanwhile, in an another programme organised by Morning Walkers Association of Canal Road where  Jugal Kishore announced Rs 10 lakh for setting up of Garden Gym, constructing bathrooms and fixing chairs for the benefit of the people who use banks of Canal for walking, exercises etc.
