JAMMU, Aug 23: Chairman of Anjuman Minhaje Rasool, Maulana Syed Athar Dehlavi today said that ignoring national security, safety of the Indian citizens and honour of the country, no talks with the Pakistan are acceptable.
Addressing a press conference here today, Maulana,  who was on three-day visit of Kashmir and Pakistani firing  affected villages of Balakote in Poonch, said that national security and safety of the people is the supreme. There should not be any compromise on it. These things should be kept away from the winning or losing of the elections and political speeches for the public consumption by the political parties and their leaders.
Reacting to the calling off of NSA level talks by Pakistan, Maulana said Pakistan is unable to face talks on terrorism. It wants to move away from the talks on terrorism because today entire world knows that Pakistan is promoting terrorism from its soil. “I am happy that NSA level talks with Pakistan have been called off.  Terrorism should be even the main agenda in next SAARC meet as today it is the biggest challenge in South-Asia,” Dehlavi said.
“If Pakistan can’t give respect to the elected Speaker of the J&K Assembly, then why India should allow their `mouth piece’ so called Hurriyat leaders to talk with Pakistani authorities who have no credibility and mass base in J&K. They are not people’s representatives. Who are they to decide fate of people of Ladakh, Jammu and many areas of Kashmir. People don’t accept them here,” Maulana said.
“Earlier, we (India) used to say that Pakistan is promoting terrorism, but now even its neighbours,  Iran and Afghanistan are also saying the same besides many other countries. Even China has also started saying it in a veiled manner. Pakistan is facing severe internal crisis but it is indulging in acts of cross border terrorism, ceasefire violations and targeting innocent Indian civilians. The people living on LoC are facing lot of  hardships with this,” Maulana maintained.
Referring to the issue of raising ISIS flags and terrorist Baghdadi’s posters in Kashmir by some anti-national people, Dehlavi said Muslims in India feel that ISIS has nothing to do with Islam. Those people are defaming Islam and also working against the teachings of Hazrat Mohammed and Holy Quran. These acts perhaps suit to some people in Kashmir and they are promoting it, but it is strange that Hurriyat leaders have not spoken any word against such acts in Kashmir or killings of Indian civilians by Pakistani troops along LoC in Poonch.
Maulana demanded setting up of Border Area Development Authority, construction of Pucca bunkers, adequate Medical facilities, ambulances along the border belt of J&K besides sufficient number of Health Centers in such areas to tackle emergency.
