JAMMU, Aug 24: All J&K Low Paid Govt Employees Federation has urged upon the Government to resolve their demands.
In a meeting of the Federation held under the leadership of State president, Abdul Majid Khan the speakers discussed their pending issues. They opposed the decision of Govt to transfer 6% DA installment into GP Fund account and said that it will negate the very purpose of the grant of DA to neutralize adverse impact of rise in price index. They also demanded that minimum daily wages be fixed as Rs 350 and Medical allowance be hiked from Rs 300 to at least Rs 1000 per month. They also demanded regularization of all the daily rated/ contractual and casual workers. Avtar Singh, president Provincial Teachers Association also spoke on the occasion.
