Srinagar, Aug 24: In its efforts to provide medical facilities to the people residing in far flung areas, the army organised a medical and veterinary camp today on the grazing grounds of the Shamshabari in Tangdar area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district to cater to the medical needs of people and livestock.
A defence spokesman said the people belonging to areas of Zarla, Chotta Dawna, Taratsar and Saiyidan-da-Pathra attended the camp. “A medical officer and dental officer of the army were assisted by a team of doctors & specialists from Sub Divisional Hospital Tangdhar, to provide specialist medicare to the populace. A veterinary doctor also provided medical advice and medicines for the animals. A total of 165 civilians and 43 animals were treated in the medical camp.
