BOSE organizes orientation programme

JAMMU, Aug 24: For the awareness of Principals and inspection teams with regard to affiliation of schools, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education organized an orientation programme, here today.
Showkat Ahmad Zadoo, who was the Resource Person, informed about the procedure to be followed for recommendation and affiliation of Government as well as private schools He laid stress on requirement of building safety certificate and chemical safety certificate by the concerned authority. “On receipt of information from the applicant of having fulfilled the safety requirements, joint inspection teams of J&K Board of School Education and School Education Department shall be constituted for conduct of inspection,” he said and added that the team members should also give their observation after conducting the inspection wherever it is necessary to improve the whole education system.
In case, the team observes that the school buses are overcrowded, directions in this connection should also be issued to the concerned for avoiding any mishappening, he said.
Joint Secretary Administration, Farooq Ahmad Peer, Joint Secretary Examination Vijay Lakshmi, Chief Education Officer Jammu, J K Sudan, Principals of various private as well as Government schools, all the Assistant Secretaries and Academic Officers of BOSE were present in the orientation programme.
