One killed, 9 injured in mishaps

SRINAGAR, Aug 25: Police today said a person was killed and nine others were injured in different road mishaps across the Valley.
A police spokesman said a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK01N/0885 turned turtle near Hayatpora Crossing in Chadoora Nagam area of Budgam district resulting in death of a passenger namely Ghulam Mohammad Yatoo and injuries to its driver. In another incident, a Tavera bearing registration number JK01Q- 7261 hit and injured a motorcyclist namely Rouf Ahmad Mir at Warihama in Magam. The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment, the police spokesman said, adding, that the separate cases have been registered in both the accidents.
A Sumo bearing registration number JK13B-8545 hit and injured a pedestrian namely Mohammad Yousuf Bhat at Naibasti in Anantnag district. “The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment.
In Ganderbal district, an Innova vehicle bearing registration number JK01T-2515 collided with an Ambulance bearing registration number JK01M-8691 at Mirgund in Kangan resulting in injuries to five persons. He said all the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Kangan for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard.
An Auto load carrier bearing registration number JK13-8876 hit and critically injured a five years old girl namely Zia Jan at Wuyan in Khrew area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, the police said. “The girl was shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” the spokesman added.
