Army busts militant hideout in Kishtwar

JAMMU:
Army troops today busted a militant hideout and seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition in Kishtwar district.
On a tip-off, Army and police launched a joint search operation and busted the hideout near Shalog village of the district, Defence spokesman said
They found one AK-47 rifle and its three magazines, 562 rounds of AK-47, one UBGL (Under Barrel Grenade Launcher), eight UBGL grenades, 12 hand grenades, 11 rounds of .303 rifle, four pistol magazines, four hand held radio sets and two all purpose binoculars, he said.
“Recovery of such war-like stores will prove detrimental to revival of terrorism in the area and further strengthen the existing security grid,” the spokesman said.
