Singh calls for enrolment of more women in PMBSY in J-K

JAMMU:
Union Minister Jitendra Singh today bats for enrolment of more women under the ambit of Centre’s ambitious flagship social security programme, Pradhan Mantri Bima Suraksha Yojna (PMBSY), in Jammu and Kashmir.
“We appeal all to enrol more women folk under the ambit of Narendra Modi Government’s ambitious flagship social security programme, PMBSY”, Singh said at a function at Nonath Asharam Samba.
The Minister said that the social security schemes are meant to give economic and social security to every individual and widen the process of financial inclusion.
“Now, poor can have identity, esteem and self respect as these schemes involve little investment”, he said while enlisting the benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Atal Pension Yojana.
He called upon all to give insurance policies as a gift to sisters this Raksha Bandhan.
Singh said that premium for female beneficiaries under PMBSY for four model villages adopted by him–- Sangwali (Samba), Humble (Doda), Bhattan (Kishtwar), Saddal (Udhampur) and girls and teachers of Akal Vidyalya shall be borne by him.
Later talking to reporters, Singh, blamed Congress for the ongoing crisis in J-K.
“If suddenly, Rahul Gandhi realised about problems of people living in border areas… The genesis of this problem lies with the Cong misrule,” he said. (AGENCIES)
