JAMMU, Aug 28: Salal Power Station management will carry out silt flushing from the reservoir of the station on August 30.
According to General Manager Salal Power Station, the public of district Reasi has been informed that the management of the Station will carry out silt flushing from the reservoir of the Station on August 30.
The gates of the dam will be opened on August 30 at 8 am and will remain opened till August 31 (8 am). With the result, there will be increase in flow of water and level of river Chenab may increase.
The general masses of the areas like Dhran, Thanpal, Arnas, Sai, Lanjan, Narloo, Gari, Salmot, Gujjar Kothi, Saidh Baba, Bidda, Kachhi Khera, Talwara, Nambla, Vijaypur, Bara Bari, Patta, Kanasi Patta, Jedhi, Panasa, Bhabber, Chumdian, Dera Baba Banda Bhadur and Seri have been informed to restrict their movement along with their vehicles and pets near banks of river Chenab during the period to avoid any mishap.
Anybody violating this request will be doing so at his own risk and responsibility and the management of Salal Power Station will not be responsible for consequence thereof.
