JAMMU, Aug 28: J&K National Panthers Party (JKNPP) president, Balwant Singh Mankotia along with other party leaders visited Uchha Pind Panchayat in District Kathua and Chod Motu Panchayat in District Udhampur to take the stock of the damage caused by the deadly landslides and distributed blankets and sheets to the affected families.
Mankotia sought the welfare of the people of the respective villages whose homes, livestock and agricultural land were washed away by the torrential rains. He distributed blankets and sheets to the 50 migrated families living at village Uchha Pind and village Chod Motu who were forced to flee from their native place of residence and exhorted the State Government to provide immediate relief and succor to the affected families by providing them with free ration, medicines and temporary shelters.
He lambasted the District administrations for their apathetic attitude towards the people who have been marooned due to the natural adversity and expressed solidarity with the affected families on behalf of the Panthers party.
He said that JKNPP stand with the people in all odds and circumstances and vowed that the Panthers Party shall not relent unless the Government acts promptly in providing the food and the residential pieces of land to the affected families for construction of houses.
Other leaders who accompanied Mankotia included Randhir Singh, Ravinder Bilowria, Sarpanch Jagdev Mian, Sarpanch Uchha Pind, Puran Chand Sharma and Subash Singh.
