GEWF demands release of DA installment

JAMMU, Aug 31: The J&K Govt Employees and Workers Federation (GEWF), has demanded release of 7 % DA installment due from July 2015 in favour of employees and pensioners.
In a meeting of the Federation held  under the leadership of   S Kulwant Singh president of the Federation, the members expressed  anguish over the anti-worker policy of the Govt.  They alleged that Government was unnecessarily causing delay in  resolving the pending issues of the employees.
Kulwant Singh while addressing workers stressed that the Central and State Governments must settle the pending issues of  employees and workers. He demanded release of the pending installment of  7%  DA due from July 2015 in fovour of employees and pensioners,  enhancement of  Medical Allowance of the employees and pensioners from Rs  300 to Rs 1000 per month,   regularisation of daily wagers, engaged in  different departments after 1994, release the salary of  ReT  teachers working under SSA who are working without salary for many months.
Mr Singh made an appeal to all the employees of the State to support the country- wide protest on September 2  as the call has been given by the All India Trade Unions, for the fulfillment of the just and genuine depends of the employees.
It was  unanimously decided that the team of J&K Govt Employees and Workers Federation will visit all districts of  the State and educate and prepare the employees to launch a decisive struggle in near future for the redressel of their grievances.
Prominent among those present in the meeting included  Lekh Raj Khajuria, Shahid Hussain,  Subash Chander, Suresh Kumar,  Amrik Singh, Balbir Singh,  Rajesh Kumar,  Manohar Lal,  Parminder Singh,  KS Jamwal,  Deep Chand,  KS Khalsa,   Raju Kumar,   Ranjit Singh, Zakir Peer,  Kulesh Kumar, Farid Fani, Mulkh Raj,  Rohit George, Tanvir Shawl,  Suresh Kumar,  Yash Pal, Parshotam Lal, Naresh Kumar,  Gurbachan Singh and  Ajit Singh.
