Drug peddlers arrested

SRINAGAR, Aug 31: Police today said that it have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered fukki in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A police spokesman said that on specific information, a naka was laid at Mughal Pora in Keegam village of the district. “During the naka checking, a load carrier driven by Ashaq Dar bearing registration number JK13B/7782 and a motorcycle driven by Gulzar Ahmad Wagay were intercepted. During the searches, 9 bags of Fukki weighing about 70 Kilograms were recovered from the vehicles,” he said.
The spokesman said that the police have arrested the duo and registered a case under FIR No 187/15 under Section 15/18 NDPS Act against them and investigation was taken up.
