JAMMU, Aug 31: Shiv Sena and Dogra Front today took out a rally protesting against the hike in prices of onions and other essential commodities.
A large number of activists of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena led by their president, Ashok Gupta, assembled near Science College and then took out a rally from upto Canal Road.
Addressing the protesting workers of Shiv Sena and Dogra Front, Gupta alleged that there is total mismanagement on the part of the Government which failed to control the soaring prices of onion and other essential commodities. “The prices of onions and vegetables have already sent household budgets up and spiraling,” he said.
He said both State and Central Government are responsible for this mess and the way the prices of onions are increasing, the day is not far when people will start stealing onions instead of motorcycles and cars.
