SAMBA, Aug 31: A Legal Awareness Camp relating to pre-natal sex selection and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Technique (PNDT) Act, and the rights of Women and Protection of Women from Domestic Violence (PWDV) Act, was organized in the Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Samba, here today under the chairmanship of M L Manhas, Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Samba.
Sunita Sambyal, Principal of the Higher Secondary School and Anuradha Sambyal apprised the students, Anganwari workers, Helpers and general masses about the pre-natal sex selection, PNDT Act and the rights of Women and Protection of Women from Domestic Violence (PWDV) Act.
Advocates Rishu Mahajan, Deepak Sharma and Sandeep Sharma spoke on the rights of women and PWDV Act. Meenakshi Sambyal, Shriya Anand, Diksha Sambyal, Shavi, students of the school also spoke on the occasion.
CDPO Samba, Deepak Kumar and staff members of the school also participated in the function.
