Jammu, Aug 31: Dr. Harsh Kumar Bhanwala, Chairman, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) today inaugurated the newly constructed building of NABARD’s Regional Office at Railway Road, Jammu.
NABARD would supervise its operations in the entire state of Jammu and Kashmir from this iconic building at the Railway Road. Mr Bhanwala said, while addressing the gathering of large number of invitees from the government, banking and developmental sector, that with new well equipped building in place, NABARD would be able to enhance the efficiency in delivery of its services for various developmental programmes as also efficiency of own people. He also opined that well equipped building will contribute to smooth workflow and help staff to stay focussed. On the issue of security arrangements in the building, he said that instead of acting as an impediment this will facilitate the stakeholders in dealing with NABARD products and services.
Earlier, Shankar A Pande, CGM, NABARD welcomed Dr. Bhanwala and other dignitaries and thanked various departments of state government for their cooperation for speedy completion of the construction work. On this occasion, Regional Director from Reserve Bank of India, other senior officials from the banking fraternity and State Government in Jammu were also present. The building is an architectural landmark in the landscape of Jammu.
