LIC celebrates Insurance Week

JAMMU, Sept 7: Life Insurance Corporation of India celebrated completion of 59 years of its incorporation besides celebrating Insurance Week from September 1 to 7.
During the celebration, various activities including massive tree plantation drive, health check up camp, painting competitions in various schools were organized during the week.
Meanwhile, LIC celebrated Agents Day in all its offices situated in Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, Senior Divisional Manager  T S Bali told media persons that Agent is a person who reaches out to all insurable persons in the society for providing them adequate financial cover according to their need and at a reasonable cost.
He informed that presently about 6000 Agents are working for LIC in J&K. He informed that as a part of employment generation, LIC has decided to launch massive drive for recruitment of Agents.  He informed that increase in income of the Agent is also priority area of Corporation. He informed that LIC reaches out to its customers through IVRS, Call Centers, Customer Zones, SMS, e-mail, website and through the popular Social Networking sites.
