AKHNOOR, Sept 8: Former Minister & senior vice president of JKPCC, Sham Lal Sharma has charged the  BJP leadership with  utter failure on all fronts  and  also misleading Jammu people with false loud statements, as the main motive of  saffron party  is to divert the  attention of Jammu  people  from the real issues of public interests.
Addressing Akhnoor Block Committee monthly meeting, here today, he also targeted BJP Government at Centre, which has allegedly failed to address the issue of Cross Border firings. Condemning  the Pakistan’s uncalled firings on civilians, he  stressed that  PM Modi should wake up and take a serious note  to providing  much needed peace and safety to Border area  residents, who also  need adequate compensation and relief.
Accusing the State Government and the Centre of failing to rehabilitate victims of the devastating floods that submerged parts of Jammu and Kashmir a year ago, Mr Sharma blamed the ruling coalition in J&K for not paying attention towards development of the State. “When will the so called Achhae Din  fulfill the aspiration of the flood victims who are still awaiting for actual relief?” he asked and alleged that BJP  Ministers and elected representatives were  literally inaccessible and had  no control over administration thereby causing an alarming situation at ground level.
“People are suffering because of inadequate supply of power, Drinking water, Ration, and no payment of Old age pensions, MNREGA wages, but BJP Ministers and their MLAs are totally neglecting demands of the masses and have left them at the mercy of God,” Sham Lal Sharma said and alleged   that there was a total collapse of State administration as BJP leadership was confused itself because of media expose in the party’s internal bickering.
The former Minister alleged that all developmental works started by previous Government were stopped while people were suffering because of inertia on part of administration. He asked the State Government to clear its stand on AIIMS and Smart City for Jammu. He also slammed the BJP for playing with the sanctity of pilgrims by imposing Service Tax on Chopper Services for Shree Mata Vaisho Devi Shrine.
Others who spoke on the occasion, included Vikram Malhotra (general secy PCC) Pt Ram Swaroop, Nek Alam, Parmanand Puri, Madan Gupta and  Aman Gupta.
