JAMMU, Aug 22: Brig (Dr) Surjit Singh Pabla took charge as President for JECRC University, Jaipur.
He has over 35 years of experience in Academic Engineering Profession and Administration. He holds M Tech and PhD from IIT Mumbai. He has over 10 years’ experience in Command of Army units and Administration of civilian employees in MES practically in all parts of the country. He has the privilege of participating in the Indo-Pak war in 1971 as a young Lieutenant.
He currently holds various responsible positions such as president, Indian Council of Universities, secretary general, Association of Self Financing Universities, Chairman, Vice Chancellors Committee on new curriculum for Engineering Colleges, Director, GEO Syndicate, SINE, IIT Bombay. He was a member of Yashpal Committee on Reforms in Higher Education and Knowledge Commission, Sikkim.
He served the Manipal Group in various positions and his last assignment was presint, Manipal University Jaipur.
