JAMMU, Aug 22: Senior National Conference leader and MLA Nowshera, Radhay Sham Sharma today stressed the need of early sanctioning of special package for 2200 border migrant families of Nowshera at par with border migrants of Pallanwala.
In a statement, Mr Sharma said, “there is an urgent need for early sanctioning of special package in favour of 220 border migrant families of Nowshera constituency for disbursement of compensation, financial assistance including allotment of residential plots as their one time permanent settlement at safer places”, adding “the Coalition Government had made assurances in this regard during the last Assembly session”.
Mr Sharma also demanded special package for the migrants of hilly districts of Rajouri, Poonch, Reasi, Doda and other similar areas from where forced migration was made due to threat of militancy.
