NEW DELHI, Sept 10: Chana prices recovered by 1.26 per cent to Rs 4,580 per quintal in futures market today as traders created fresh positions amid pick up in demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in September month rose by Rs 57 or 1.26 per cent to Rs 4,580 per quintal with an open interest of 5,710 lots.
On similar lines, chana for delivery in October contracts moved up Rs 45 or 0.98 per cent to Rs 4,628 per quintal in 1,32,650 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions built up by speculators at existing levels amid pick up in demand in the spot market led to the rise in chana prices. (PTI)
