JAMMU, Sept 11: The family members of a woman, who died this morning allegedly due to negligence of doctors here at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), today staged a protest demonstration in front of Emergency Wing of the hospital.
According to the sources, the deceased identified as Anita wife of Madan Lal, a resident of Pargwal was shifted to GMCH a few days ago after she injured due to fall from some height and died this morning about 6.30 am.
The family members of the deceased lady alleged that she died due to negligence of doctors as she had not suffered any serious injury except some injuries in her back bone.
The protesting family members raised slogans against doctors of GMCH and demanded action against the guilty. After getting information, police reached the spot and pacified the protestors assuring that justice will be provided to them.
When contacted, Medical Superintendent, GMCH, said that he has not received any written complaint from any person so far.
