Man dupes youths by promising Govt job, arrested

JAMMU, Sept 11: Bus-stand police arrested a man for duping youths by promising them jobs in Government Departments in lieu of hefty amount.
As per police sources, a man who allegedly cheated a number of youths of lakhs of rupees on pretext of getting them Government jobs, has been arrested today by Bus-Stand police.
The accused has been identified as Jarnail Singh Sodhi, son of Deva Singh, a resident of Digiana.
Police action came on a complaint filed by a youth hailing from Rajouri after he came to know that the appointment letter for job in Home and Defence Department given to him is fake as no such department exists in reality.
The accused used to dupe unemployed youth by giving them false assurances about providing jobs in Government departments. The main target of the accused was the youths hailing from remote and far-flung areas of the State.
A case under FIR Number 48/15 under Section 420 RPC has been registered at police station Bus-Stand and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bus-Stand police station Inspector Paramjit Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City Perbeet Singh Parihar, SP City Shiv Kumar Singh Chouhan and Incharge SSP Jammu Rajeev Pandey.
