Jammu, Sept 12: Former Minister Abdul Gani Vakil today said the Congress party in the Jammu and Kashmir State is a team of tainted persons and majority of former Ministers who were found involved in scams and corruption cases belong to it.
He said that during the previous regime near about three thousand works were allotted and executed without adhering to requisite tendering process in R&B Department and consequently State exchequer was looted through such malpractices and works more than 500 crore are non existent in the the education department as construction of SSA buildings does not exist at all, Similarly PHE & Irrigation Department purchased substandard pipes worth crores which are still lying unused but no action was taken against guilty. Vakil said and added that the height of things is that the PCC President himself was involved in infamous scandal and remained in jail for months together.
Mr. Vakil was today addressing a workers convention in Jammu.
