BJP will get majority in LAHDC elections : Nirmal Singh

JAMMU, Sept 12:  To discuss and finalize the Party strategy for the forthcoming elections of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), the BJP State Election Committee meeting was held here today. It was chaired by Election Committee Chairman, State President & MP Jugal Kishore Sharma and Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh.
Threadbare discussions were held on the Party’s planning, strategies regarding campaigning and recommending the names of candidates to the High Command for final approval.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, while addressing the meeting said that with the announcement of election schedule for LAHDC, the BJP has started election process and it is gearing up its activities. He added that the Party leaders will be deputed in different areas to reach the masses in Desert Region and ensure votes in favour of its candidates. He said that the entire leadership will be devoting time for achieving the target of registering victory on maximum seats.
He mentioned that this election is another test in J&K and BJP will utilize all its sources and cadre to ensure victory in LAHDC elections. Jugal further mentioned that Party High Command has full backing to the State leadership in these elections and both, National & State leaders will be the part of election campaigning.
In his address, Dr. Nirmal Singh said that the atmosphere in the entire country has been witnessed in favour of BJP and the State of Jammu and Kashmir too has seen the same during 2014 Lok Sabha and later Assembly elections, wherein party won three seats of Parliament for the first time and again created a history by winning 25 Assembly seats following the maiden partnership of BJP in Government formation.
He said the BJP will once again write a new chapter in the LAHDC elections by winning majority of seats. He said that the Centre, State and LAHDC will work in unison for the development of the Ladakh region. He asked the leaders and workers to apprise people about various people friendly initiatives of Central and State Govts to mobilize public support and votes in favour of BJP candidates.
Members of Parliament Shamsher Singh Manhas and Thupstan Chhewang, Cooperative Minister Tsering Dorjey, State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, MLCs Ashok Khajuria and Sofi Yousuf, Senior leaders Chander Mohan Sharma and Som Raj Khajuria and Mahila Morcha State President Purnima Sharma attended this meeting as members.
During the meeting Jugal Kishore Sharma constituted a Management Committee for the LAHDC , Leh elections. The Management Committee will be headed by Member of Parliament Thupstan Chhewang and it will have Cooperative Minister Tsering Dorjay, State Vice-President & MLA Sat Sharma (C.A), State general secretary Munish Sharma, Tsewang Tondup, Phunstsog Saspol, Sayeeda Ladakhi as its members.
