NEW DELHI, Sept 13: Mobile value added services firm Mahindra Comviva expects to sign business deals with 20 telecom operators across the globe for its digital marketing product, interactive End-of-Call Notifications.
In the wake of telecom regulator TRAI’s regulation on unsolicited calls and SMS putting a curb on sending telemarketing messages, the company developed iEOCN for digital marketing.
“We expect 20 operators to use our iEOCN in the next 12 months. Mahindra Comviva is getting traction from high pre-paid base markets for this product which are mainly emerging markets. It includes Middle East and Africa, India, Bangladesh and South East Asia,” Mahindra Comviva CEO Manoranjan Mahapatra told PTI.
IEOCN enables telecom operators to use space left in the messages sent out to pre-paid customers informing them about balance deduction and other notifications after they consume a service. It can be information at the end of a phone call, sending SMS or mobile internet session.
“We expect 25-30 deployments by these operators as some of them are multi-national companies. In India, we have already piloted with Idea and have seen up swing of 1-1.5 per cent in their revenue in 9 months period,” Mahapatra said.
He said it has signed deal for iEOCN with customers in Bangladesh, Middle East, Africa and soon expects a deal in Latin America.
