Around 39,000 appear in J&K Bank’s online RE exams

SRINAGAR, Sept 13: J&K Bank today successfully concluded online examination for the posts of Relationship Executives (RE), wherein around 39,000 applicants appeared out of 48,000 eligible candidates. More than 51,000 candidates had applied for the online test.
The tests were conducted online in 14 sessions spread over four days i.e. 5th, 6th, 12th, and 13th of September, at 163 centers set up across Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions. The centers included numerous educational institutions across the State.
The online examinations were held directly by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), Mumbai with technical expertise being facilitated by the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
While speaking, Chairman and CEO, J&K Bank Mushtaq Ahmad said that “Let me say that within the purview of our strategic HR requirements, we will continue to provide direct employment to the best and brilliant among youth of J&K. Simultaneously, we remain committed to creating a business environment in the State that provides dignified employment opportunities to all the youth having the skill-sets coupled with spirit of entrepreneurship”.
The bank’s Senior President HRD Abdul Rauf Bhat said “Conducting the online tests within the available infra-structure on such bigger scale across the State for four days was a challenge, but we succeeded because of the deeply ingrained work culture and dedication of our staff.
Meanwhile, the candidates felt satisfied with the kind of arrangements at the exam venues.
Senior officers of bank’s Human Resources Division (HRD), Technology and Information Systems Division (T&ISD) besides personnel from IBPS and TCS were monitoring the process and progress of the examination online from the Command Centre established at Corporate Headquarters.
