JD (S) holds meet

JAMMU, Sept 14: Janata Dal (Secular) held a meeting under the chairmanship of Ranjan Bargotra, in which office bearers of district level and cells incharge took part.
In the meeting, the members were asked to gear up party activities and try to redress the issues of the people.
Ram Rattan Sharma demanded compensation for the farmers, whose crops were damaged due to heavy rains, floods and hailstorms.
Bhagwati Sharan while speaking urged Government of India to ask Pakistan to vacate PoK areas.
Tirath Singh asked the transport authorities to display rate list in the mini-buses and also stop over-loading.
Among others present were RR Sharma, Chaman Lal Sharma, Amrik Singh Jamwal, Makhan Lal, Kulvir Singh, Babita Sharma, Kunti, Ramesh Gupta, etc.
