JAMMU, Sept 15: Pacca Danga police arrested a driver along with 14 kilograms of banned forest produce ‘nagchatri’.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Pacca Danga police station laid a naka at Manda and intercepted a Maruti Van bearing registration number JK19-1793.
During checking, police recovered 14 kilograms of banned forest produce ‘nagchatri’ and arrested the driver on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Mohammad Yasin, son of Ghulam Mohammad of Kheri, tehsil Banihal, district Ramban.
A case under FIR Number 159/15 under Section 379 RPC and 6/15/16 Forest Act has been registered against the accused at police station Pacca Danga and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Pacca Danga police station Inspector Kuldeep Khajuria made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City Perbeet Singh Parihar, SP City Shiv Kumar Singh Chouhan and Incharge SSP Jammu Rajeev Pandey.
