JAMMU, Sept 15: Two youth committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at their respective residences in Nagrota area of city outskirts and Tehsil Akhnoor.
According to a police spokesperson, a 20-year-old youth identified as Satish Kumar son of Milkhi Ram, a resident of Devipur in Akhnoor Tehsil, allegedly consumed some poisonous substance late last night following which he was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
Meanwhile, another youth identified as Deepak Kumar (23) son of Swami Ram, a resident of Nagrota, who was undergoing treatment here at GMCH after he allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at his residence on August 31, expired today at about 1.30 pm.
The bodies of the both the deceased were later handed over to their legal heirs for last rites after conducting postmortem and completing other legal formalities.
In both cases, the concerned police have already taken cognizance.
