2 arrested for smuggling bovines to Punjab

KATHUA, Sept 16: Hariachack police arrested two persons for smuggling 58 bovine animals to Punjab on foot.
As per police sources, during patrolling, police team from Hariachack police post led by HC Sadar Din intercepted two persons carrying flock of bovines towards Punjab.
During questioning, the persons failed to give satisfactory replies and were arrested by the police. From their possession, police rescued 58 bovine animals, which they were smuggling to Punjab on foot.
The accused have been identified as Din Mohammad, son of Babbi Din, a resident of Battal Hiranagar and Mohammad Din, son of Sheru, a resident of Ramkote.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Hariachack police post and investigation started.
