REASI, Sept 16: Reasi Police has arrested a bootlegger and seized 35 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
A Police party led by SHO Reasi, Inspector J J Bhagat, apprehended the accused during patrolling at Bus Stand Reasi and recovered 35 poly pouches (15 measuring 250/250 ml each and 20 measuring 375/375 ml each) of J&K Excise liquor from his possession.
The accused identified as Joginder Singh of village Karua Reasi, was on way to Katra for sale of the illicit liquor in the holy town.
In this connection, case FIR No.137/2015 U/S 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Reasi.
