JAMMU, Sept 16: Department of Computer Science and IT in University of Jammu, in collaboration with CART Bharat and IETE Jammu Centre, organized an invited talk and an interactive session by Dr P C Pandey, Professor, IIT Bombay.
Prof Pandey spoke on the topic – Sensory Neural Networks and their Applications for Hearing impaired persons. He explained that inspite of several hearing aids available in the market today, there is a need to improve their intelligibility and quality of the processed sound. He demonstrated that effectiveness of the hearing aid technologies developed by his research group at IIT Bombay, are better in several ways than the other available worldwide.
Earlier, Prof Vinod Sharma, Head of the Department, emphasized the need of such events for academic growth of the universities in particular and students in general.
Prof Pawanesh Abrol, Coordinator, CART Bharat assured all technical support for organizing such events in future also. Dr Rakesh Vaid, Chairman, IETE Jammu Centre presented formal vote of thanks.
