ReT Forum threatens to intensify strike

JAMMU, Sept 16: All J&K ReT Teachers Forum has threatened to intensify its strike to get their genuine demands redressed by the Government.
Addressing a joint press conference, State president, All J&K ReT Teachers Forum Vinod Sharma and Bhupinder Singh said that two groups of ReT Forums have joined together to get the demands redressed.
While speaking, Sharma expressed resentment against the Government for its callous approach to resolve their burning issues. He said that ReT Teachers under SSA are without salary for last 4 to 6 months and their family members are on the verge of starvation. Besides repeated requests their salary has not been released which is a matter of great concern, he added.
He further said that ReT teachers who have completed their five years service one and half year back have not been regularized till date and they appeal the Director School Education Jammu to speed up the process of regularization.
Sharma also demanded the regularization of KGBV Teachers and release of mid day meals dues which are pending for last 18 months. He also threatened to hold massive protests through out the State if their pending SSA salary and regularization is not done before Eid festival for which the Government will be responsible.
Among others present were Sukhdev Singh, Rajesh Jamwal, Sham Sharma, Younis Rahi, Sukesh Khajuria, Gulzabir Daing, Subash Chander, Rashpaul Sharma, Anil Choudhary, Jyoti Bandral, Khalil Khan, Naresh Sharma, Mushtaq Malik, Sunil Salaria, Kuldeep Katoch, Surjeet Singh, Ranjit Singh, Raj Kumar, etc.
