JAMMU, Sept 17: Presiding Officer Fast Track Court, Y P Kotwal today rejected the bail application of one Rohit Sharma, who was allegedly involved in rape case.
After hearing Advocate KC Sharma appearing for the accused whereas Additional Public Prosecutor Rakesh Badyal appearing for the State, Presiding Officer Fast Track Court observed, “in the present case, there is no question of violation of right to life and personal liberty guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution”, adding “release of the accused at this stage and his remaining outside will cause deleterious effect on the minds of general public and thwart the cause of justice”.
With these observations, court rejected the bail application.
