SRINAGAR, Aug 23: Two girls committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance while as a youth is battling for his life in separate incidents in the Kashmir valley.
A police spokesman said that an 11 years girl (name with-held) resident of Check Ranbirpora, Kulgam consumed some poisonous substance at her home. She was immediately shifted to SMHS Srinagar. However, she breathed her last on way to the hospital. After completing all medico legal formalities the body of girl was handed over to her relatives for last rites. Police has registered a case in this regard.
A 15 years girl (name with-held) resident of Wagoora, Kreeri consumed some poisonous substance at her home. She was shifted to SKIMS Soura, but died on way to the hospital. Police has registered a case in this regard.
In another incident, 22 years old Gulzar Ahmad Chopan son of Abdul Satar Chopan resident of Watergam-Kreeri, Baramulla consumed some poisonous substance. He was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Kreeri where from he was referred to SKIMS Soura for further treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
