Flight Safety Conference held at Northern Command

JAMMU, Aug 23: Flight Safety Conference was held at Headquarters Northern Command.
The conference was chaired by Lieutenant General Balbir Pama, Chief of Staff, HQ Northern Command, while senior Army officers, general managers of Advanced Light Helicopter (Dhruv) and Cheetah Divisions from Hindustan Aeronautic Limited, Bangalore and Barrackpore and dignitaries of Army HQ were also present.
The meet addressed issues relating to the operations, maintenance and flight safety of the Army Aviation in Northern Command, wherein it has its largest fleet of helicopters operating in active counter terrorism operations in the country.
“Triumphant Four” Flight of the Pir Panjal Hawks was adjudged the best flight in Northern Command for the year 2011-12.
On the occasion, Lieutenant General Balbir Pama, Chief of Staff presented the “Flight Safety Trophy” to Flight Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Anupam Gaur.
