KARGIL, Sept 19: Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kargil, Amarjeet Singh Langeh has awarded simple imprisonment of six months to an accused in theft case.
According to the police case, on April 17, 2015, Mohd Ibrahim, a resident of Kargil committed theft of 36 silver rings in the house of Haji Mohd Ali. During investigation, 25 silver rings valuing Rs 25,000 were recovered and after completion of investigation challan was presented in the court of law under Sections 457 and 380 RPC.
After hearing counsels for both the sides, CJM Kargil awarded simple imprisonment of six months to the accused and imposed fine of Rs 3000. In the event of default, the accused shall further undergo simple imprisonment of 10 days.
