JAMMU : Security forces today busted a militant hideout and recovered cache of arms and ammunition from mountainous Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.
”Based on a tip-off, police and army this morning launched search operation in Gubbar forests of Chiralla area in Doda and busted a militant hideout,” official spokesperson here said.
He said during search two Chinese pistols, two magazines of pistol, ten rounds of pistol, one SLR, six SLR magazines, 891 SLR rounds, two grenades, one Night Vision Device, one Telescope, one UBGL, one Motor Shell of 7.51 mm, one tape recorder, a pouch, a stove and pressure cooker were recovered from the hideout.
”It was an old hideout, which was constructed by militants during the time of militancy in the district,” said the spokesperson. (UNI)
