Srinagar, Sept 22: Police today said a boy hanged himself to death in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
A police spokesman said an 18 year old boy (name withheld) who was a resident of Supernaghama village in Handwara hanged himself at his home.
“He was shifted to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites after completion of legal medico formalities. Police have initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC to ascertain the cause of death in this regard,” the spokesman added.
