JAMMU, Sept 23: Commissioner Commercial Taxes, Baseer Ahmad Khan today convened a meeting for providing a smooth and hassle free environment at Check-Post Lakhanpur.
Addl. Commissioner Commercial Taxes (Adm) Jammu and officials of M/s TCS and M/s PWC were present in the meeting.
Various points regarding process simplification and IT infrastructure strengthening were discussed. Commissioner Commercial Taxes directed the team to prepare a detailed action plan and present it in the Project Review Committee and Project Implementation Committee for discussion and finalization.
During the meeting team also presented various suggestions for increasing the electronic services usage by tax payers and department officials in order to simplify and provide more channels of service delivery and reduce the time for processing.
Commissioner Commercial Taxes informed that necessary steps will be taken for enhancing the IT infrastructure of Commercial Taxes Department, process re-engineering towards simplification and providing better services to tax payers and the suggestions put forth will be taken up in a phased manner.
