One more case of Dengue surfaces

JAMMU, Sept 23: With one more case of Dengue today surfacing in Basohli Sub-Division of Kathua district the total number of patients affected with this vector-borne disease in Jammu region has reached to 13.
According to Dr BS Pathania, Director Health Jammu, a 30-year old youth hailing from Basohli Sub-Division of Kathua district has been found positive for Dengue virus.
Elaborating more, he said that the youth had gone to Punjab some days ago where he complained of fever and after his blood sample was tested in a local hospital there he was found affected with Dengue virus. “However, the youth is under treatment and recovering fast”, he added.
With this he said the total number of patients affected with Dengue in Jammu region has reached to 13.
Yesterday, two children were tested positive for Dengue virus in Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where blood samples of 26 people with Dengue symptoms were tested for this vector-borne disease.
