Ministers, officers allowed refreshment

JAMMU, Sept 23: The Government has lifted ban on serving light refreshment by the Ministers and bureaucrats and allowed them specific amount to be spent on this account every month.
An order to this effect has been issued by Navin K Choudhary, Commissioner/Secretary, Finance Department.
As per the order, the Ministers will be entitled to spend up to Rs 10,000 per month on refreshment expenses while the Chief Secretary and Administrative Secretaries would be entitled to Rs 5,000 per month.
The Heads of the Departments and equivalent rank of officers could spend Rs 3,000 per month, the order said.
