Kohli announces 10% DA for SRTC employees

JAMMU, Sept 24: Minister for Transport, Abdul Ghani Kohli announced 10 percent Dearness Allowance (DA) in favor of employees of State Road Transport Corporation in a function organized here today.
Addressing the employees, Kohli reiterated the Government’s resolve to revive the transport sector and equip it with upgraded infrastructure facilities. He sought cooperation of the staff in achieving the targets. Kohli assured that he will leave no stone unturned for modernization and uplift of J&K SRTC
On the occasion, Managing Director J&K SRTC, G A Sofi, DGM (P&S/Maint) Jammu, Sudesh Gupta, unit officers of different fleet and  JKSRTC Union workers were also present.
Responding to the demands and grievances of the employees, Kohli assured that pension scheme, regularization of consolidated workers, SRO-43, SRO-14 along with other demands and grievances of the employees will be taken up in the meeting of Board of Directors shortly.
The Minister further dwelt upon SRTC employees to work hard with utmost zeal and dedication to take the Corporation to new heights.
He said that the Coalition Government is committed to bring transparency, ease the work load and adopt systematic approach for improving deficiencies of the department.
