JAMMU, Sept 24: All J&K Non-Gazetted Forest Officers Association has urged upon the Government to remove pay anomalies in the grades of Range Officers and Foresters and also provide risk allowance to the field staff.
In a meeting of a delegation of the Association with the Minister for Forests and Environment, Bali Bhagat here today, the members projected their issues with regard to the removal of pay anomalies of RO Grade-II, Foresters, Dy Foresters and even Forest Guards, holding of DPC, grant of risk allowance to field staff and upgradation of the 135 posts of RO-II.
The members including Gurcharan Singh, senior vice president, R S Jasrotia, SS Sumbria, Varinder Singh and Arun Bhatti apprised the Forest Minister that field staff despite tremendous pressure has managed to clear huge forest land grabbed by people. The land mafia is after them. They should be provided risk allowance.
