Bhadarwah epidemic

Sir,
It is very painful to see the residents of Bhadarwah area in the grip of  gastric complications now a days. There is no house in this scenic valley who is not a  victim of this epidemic. Two to three members of every house hold of both the communities are suffering with acute gastric complications, i.e. advance stages of diaherrohea and intestinal complications.
Sub-District Hospital Bhadarwah is teeming  with patients and many more are pouring in for treatment. As there is shortage of doctors and Para-Medical Staff, the patients have to suffer a lot. Drinking water facility is lacking in many areas viz. Udrana, Gatha, Sarolbagh, Gwari, Dandi, and many adjoining localities are still dependent on natural water sources. It is very shocking to see the P.H.E. Department  unable to supply clean water  to every house hold since long. Many times the matter was brought in the notice of administration but till date no concrete action has been  taken for this with the result now this gastric epidemic has spread in almost all the villages of Bhaderwah especially Gatha, Udrana, Gwari, Dandi  and adjoining.
Yours etc…
Kaushal Kotwal
