Panic grips Janglote, adjoining areas

KATHUA, Sept 28: Panic gripped Janglote and adjoining areas in Kathua town today after a deadly drunk person made a telephonic call to police that some militants have intruded in his house and fired upon his son besides they tried to kidnap him.
According to police a telephone call was received by PCR Kathua from phone number 7051144797 today that some militants have intruded in his house and they have fired upon his son and were trying to kidnap him.
The police rushed to the area where from phone was received and on reaching there they found the situation total normal.
Police tried to locate the caller and after making a phone call to him they reached his location. The caller who was dead drunk still repeated the same thing that militants have fired upon his son.
The Police arrested the caller identified as Rakesh Kumar of Janglote and registered a case under 36 Police Act against him. Police said Rakesh was living separate from his wife and children as family has deserted him as he remains dead drunk for entire day. Fed up with him the family preferred to live separate.
The panic gripped the area as Army school and other public institutions were in the vicinity and people were perturbed about the safety of their wards.
