Gaddi and Sippi Association seeks redressal of demands

BHADERWAH, Sept 28: Gaddi and Sippi Association has appealed to the Government to redress the issues of their community at the earliest.
Addressing a press conference, Parveen Jaryal, President of the Association condemned the decision of coalition Government for not including the members of the association in Tribal Development Board.
He added that the Government included Gujjar and Bakerwal community people in the Tribal Development Board and ignored Gaddi and Sippi community people despite the fact that Gaddi and Sippi community is also part and parcel of tribal community.
He stated that the Gaddi and Sippi community in the State is socially and economically backward but till date no such step has been taken by the State Government for the upliftment of these tribal people.
“We have lots of hope from the present Government that they will take redress the issues of our community and take some urgent steps for the welfare of these semi-nomadic people”, he added.
Among others present were ex-State general secretary Advocate Mool Raj, district secretary Dr Shiv Kumar, district cashier Abhinesh Kumar and State cashier Kuldeep Singh.
