JAMMU, Sept 29: 3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu, Y P Kotwal today rejected the bail application of Sachin Kumar, who was allegedly involved in rape case.
After hearing Advocates Beauty Pandita and Sumit Bhat for the applicant whereas APP Rakesh Badyal for the State, the court observed, “rape is one of the most heinous crimes committed against a woman and it insults womanhood, violates the dignity of a woman and erodes her honour”.
“Rapist not only violates the victim’s privacy and personal integrity but inevitably causes serious psychological as well as physical harm in the process”, the court said while dismissing the bail application.
