FMPHWs hold convention, highlight demands

JAMMU, Sept 29: One day convention of Female Multipurpose Health Workers’ (FMPHWs) Association was held today in Madam Shashi Bala Memorial Park Directorate of Health Services Jammu and later on the Press Briefing was made by Sushil Sudan, president JKMEF.
A Large number of FMPHWs from Jammu Division participated in it. The issue regarding pending salary of FMPHWs working under 2211 Family Welfare was discussed and it was reported that salary of employees for 2-3 months is still pending.
It was urged to the authorities to look into the matter and address the issue once for all so that permanent solution is done to this demand enabling employees under 2211-Family Welfare to get salary regularly on monthly basis. Other demands of FMPHWS like creation of posts of LHVs in new PHCs, up-gradation of posts of FMPHWs as Junior, Senior, Supervisor and Head FMPHWs on the pattern of Para Medical Staff and promotion of FMPHWs as Health Educator as per strength, were also discussed.
The speakers once again reiterated that in case their demands are not agreed then FMPHWs Association will be left with no option other than adopting agitational path in near future for which the authorities will be responsible.
Those who spoke during the convention and others who were present during press briefing include Vinod Kumar Sharma, Neelam Kumari, Mamta Sharma, Kamla Devi, Manjeet Kour, Sapna Devi, Vijay Bharti, Lalita Bhan, Saroj Kumari, Anuradha, Nancy Bhan, Kanchan Bala, Bharat Bhushan Bagat  and Paramjeet Singh.
